RES-TEC FLEXITEC 2020 LIQUID ROOFING

We are fully trained and Restec-certified in the installation of Res-Tec Flexitec 2020, a flexible liquid-applied roofing system designed to provide a seamless, fully bonded waterproofing membrane for new roofing and refurbishment projects.

Flexitec 2020 is a cold-applied system, making it particularly suitable for refurbishment work where hot works may be undesirable. The system is installed onto a suitably prepared substrate, with the appropriate primer used where required, before the reinforced resin system is applied in accordance with the manufacturer's specification.

The Flexitec 2020 system incorporates 225g/m² fibreglass chopped strand mat (CSM) reinforcement, which is fully saturated with the Flexitec resin to create a continuous reinforced membrane. A further resin application completes the system, producing a seamless waterproof finish.

One of the main advantages of a liquid-applied system is its ability to accommodate complex roof detailing. The resin and reinforcement can be worked around upstands, outlets, penetrations, joints, edges and other difficult or irregular areas, helping to create continuous waterproof protection without relying on numerous mechanical joints or seams.

Flexitec can be used across a range of suitable roof substrates, including existing felt, asphalt, concrete, GRP and suitable timber decking such as OSB3 TG4, subject to inspection, preparation and compatibility with the specified system.

Every installation begins with appropriate substrate inspection and preparation. We follow the Res-Tec application requirements for cleaning, preparation, priming, reinforcement, resin application and detailing to ensure the system is installed correctly for the individual roof.
